Day 1 Yangon Arrival (AM Arrival)
Morning arrival at Yangon International Airport, warmly welcome by our guide and transfer to your chosen hotel for check – in. The rest of the morning will be at leisure to relax. Begin your visit in the afternoon with the main highlight of Yangon’s city with the Sule Pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi and Kandawgyi Lake (Royal Lake) before enjoying sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the ‘heart’ of Buddhist Myanmar. Return back to your hotel and overnight.
Day 2 Yangon – Mandalay – Amarapura (by AM flight)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Yangon Airport for an early morning domestic flight to Mandalay. Arrive Tada-Oo International Airport and start yoursightseeing tour with a visit to an ancient city of Amarapura, U-Bein Bridge, which is 1.2km long teak bridge over the TaungThaman Lake. Then visit to Mahagandayon Monastery,known as the biggest Buddhist learning Centre in Mandalay to learn the daily life of monks afterward the Silk Weaving workshops, Gold foil making cottage and Mahamuni Pagoda.Thencheck in to your hotel. In the afternoon sightseeing begins with Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; KuthodawPagoda, known as theWorld’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Continues to the Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.
Day 3 Mandalay – Mingun– Inwa
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the jetty and enjoy boat trip (approx 45 minutes) to Mingun. Visit to the Settawya pagoda, unfinished Mingun pagoda and walk to the huge Mingun Bell (90 tons)the largest hung uncracked bell in the world.Then continue to Hsinbyume Pagoda (Also known as Myatheindan Pagoda),Pagoda with seven concentric terraces at the base.. Then onwards by boat return back to Mandalay.In the afternoon, visit to the one of the ancient city Inwa (Ava) with horse cart by around to the BagayaKyaung, built of teak and supported by 267 teak posts, Nanmyin Watch Tower, 27m high masonry watchtower and to MahaAungmyeBonzn Monastery, brick-and-stucco monastery. Then drive back to Mandalay and overnight at hotel.
Day 4 Mandalay – Monywa by car
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Monywa , 136km (3 hours) northwest of Mandalay and situated on the eastern bank of the Chindwin River on the way visit the silversmith workshops in YwaHtaung village. Proceed to Kaung Hmu Daw Pagoda outside of Sagaing continue towards Monywa and before hotel check in visit to the Mohyinthanboday Pagodawhere more than 500,000 Buddha statues are placed, continue to Bodhitataung Pagoda and make a photo stop to the the longest reclining Buddha of Myanmar (333 ft/100 m) and the tallest standing Buddha (413 feet) in the world.In the afternoon visit to the Po Win Daungand Shwebadaungcaves where hundreds of Buddha Statues are placed inside niches decorated with wonderful mural paintings.Enjoy the sunset there and drive back to hotel and overnight.
Day 5 Monywa – Pakokku– Bagan by car & private boat
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Pakokku an unspoilt small town (130 km – 4 hours). At Pakokku, will visit local market to see people ways of life and then can observed the incense stick making and toy paper making workshops, weaving shop, cheroots factory and slippers workshop if the time permit. Late afternoon transfer to jetty take a private boat to ancient city of Bagan. Along the boat across the Ayeyarwaddy River can enjoy the river life, will arrive the famous Ancient city “Bagan” before sunset. Upon arrival, transfer from the Jetty to your hotel in Bagan and overnight.
Day 6 Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, start your fantastic sightseeing with visit to Nyaung Local Market, then to Shwezigon Pagoda a prototype of later Myanmar stupa, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural pain-tings of Jataka scenes. Processto, Htilominlo Temple and Lacquer Ware Factory where can study traditional Myanmar lacquer ware making, after that transfer to Hotel for check in. Afternoon sightseeing tour continues with Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, Nanpaya, an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings. Then stop at MyazediStupa to see Myanmar’s “Rosetta Stone”, bearing inscriptions written in four languages. Continue to the Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple. Enjoy a magnificent sunset over one of the Bagan monuments. Return back to your hotel and overnight.
Day 7 Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, start another wonderful day at bagan, visit to Ananda Temple, a masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas. Then visit to Tharabar Gate, is part of the ancient 9th century wall, Shwegugyi Pagoda. Continue visit to Thatbyinnyu ‘Omniscient’ Temple, one of the highest in Bagan, rises to 61m, Dhammayangyi, a massive-looking temple, Sulamani, more sophisticate temple styles, Afterward to Dhammayazika Temple, has pentagonal terraces instead of the usual Bagan pagodas, the square base. In the afternoon, visit to Lemyethna Temple Indian-style spire like that on Ananda. Continue to Payathonzu (the name literally means Three Stupas), Nandamannya Temple, with fine frescoes and an unexpectedly erotic mural. Take a break from temples and wander through the village of Minnanthu to see how the local people live. Enjoy sunset at Pyathadar Temple, is a double-cave type monument. Drive back to your hotel and overnight.
Day 8 Bagan– Heho – Pindaya – Inle (by AM flight)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Nyaung Oo International airport for morning domestic flight to Heho. From airport drive to the small quiet town Pindaya, 48 km north of Kalaw, to visit Pindaya Lake and Pindaya cave, well-known for its countless Buddha images more than 8000 images. Enjoy also the great scenic beauty of the country side along the road to Pindaya through picturesque landscapes. Visit bamboo – umbrella and Shan paper making from mulberry tree workshop as well. Then drive back to the Nyaung Shwe which is the gateway of Inle Lake and transfer to your hotel and overnight.
Day 9 Inle
After breakfast at the hotel, explore the beauty of Inle Lake by private boat and start to visit 5 day Market, which is being held at one of village to study local products with colorful tribes. On the way will see the local people leg-rowers the boat fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and collecting seaweed, lakebed mud etc to make floating gardens. Afterward visit to the Nampan Village where locals hand make black smith, Cheroot making factory, Boat making carpentry workshop and the silk weaving village of Inn Paw Khone. In the afternoon, the tour will continues to the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda which had five sacred images of Buddha covered with gold leaf, Nga Phe sKyaung, wooden monastery which had lots of old early Shan style Buddha Images. On the way back to hotel will pass through some floating gardens and villages. And overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Inle – Indein – Inle
After breakfast at the hotel, take 1-hour boat ride to the Pa-Oh village of Indein at the western end of the Lake. The Indein Pagoda complex is the most amazing sites around the shore of the lake and it consists of hundreds of small stupa. In the afternoon, visit some local handicrafts workshop and shop in Inle Lake. Afterwards you will transfer back to your hotel and the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 11 Heho – Yangon (by AM flight)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Heho Airport for a morning domestic flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon International Airport and transfer to your chosen hotel for check – in. Begin your visit in the afternoon with Bogyoke (Scott) Market; it has the largest selection of Myanmar handicrafts then visit to Botathaung Pagoda close to the Yangon Wharves. Before back to hotel visit to China Town area where can find lots of gold shops and food stalls where local people enjoy their evening.
Day 12 Yangon Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, free leisure until transfer to Yangon International Airport.
